<![CDATA[My Wooden Hanger: Latest News]]> https://mywoodenhanger.com Tue, 12 May 2026 11:23:59 +0000 <![CDATA[Transitioning of seasons]]> https://mywoodenhanger.com/blog/transitioning-of-seasons/ Sat, 16 Jul 2016 09:36:45 +0000 https://mywoodenhanger.com/blog/transitioning-of-seasons/ How can it be mid July already??  Once again, the summer is flying by, and I find myself adding "transition" pieces to our line.  I will be attending a trade show the first week of August to pick out SPRING items!  Ok, I guess that means winter doesn't really last all that long :-) 

I look at it this way....God gave us the seasons so we don't get bored.  Just when we can't take the hot weather anymore, the cool crisp nights of fall begin, and I can sleep with the windows open!  The trees turn a beautiful color, and football takes over the television.  Once the trees are bare, the snow begins to cover them, and makes them a new kind of beautiful.  Winter brings rest to the ground, and sometimes to us when it's just too cold to go out!  Then spring arrives, and things come back to life!  I LOVE this time of year as trees begin to bud, flowers poke their little noses up from the ground, and baby animals of all kinds are born!  Summer returns, and we enjoy trips to the lake, campfires, and the light of long days.  Wow, LIFE IS GOOD!

Four weeks ago today, our little grandson came into the world:-)  I have enjoyed making several trips to see him, and have watched him grow and change in those four short weeks!  What a blessing!!

Last Friday, Mandy & I hosted another open house in Aberdeen.  I had the pleasure of meeting more of her friends, and enjoyed helping them find new wardrobe items.  We laughed about how most of them had their babies with them and how they were good at "power shopping!"  

Last night, my husband had a little farming accident and we ended up in the ER for several hours.  How does this fit into the good stuff blog you ask?  He is pretty sore, but will be ok!  

This week we celebrate as a family as my niece gets married.  My family lives in several different states, so it's a big deal (and LOTS of fun) when we get together!

I challenge you to take a moment and reflect on all the good in your life!

]]> As I reflect on the last month, I realize how busy it has been, but at the same time, how good it's been!

Four weeks ago today, our little grandson came into the world:-)  I have enjoyed making several trips to see him, and have watched him grow and change in those four short weeks!  What a blessing!!

"How's the business going?"  "What kind of things do you carry?"   "How do you market your items?"  It's not just small talk....I know they truly want to know.

I have one aunt in particular that has always been very fashion conscious.  She always has her nails done, hair & makeup, and dresses in the latest fashion.  She just turned 92, lives in an assisted living community, and still wants to be a trend setter.  I got a letter from her a week or so ago, asking me to bring some of my clothes to her so she could try them.  She said she needs to start a new fad around the assisted living community!  So, today, I get to visit her, and help her find some new spring things to wear.  This will brighten her day, but most likely mine even more! 

Looking forward to this day auntie!
